Synopsis

Created in association with Hotorinite, this project was developed as an experimental film centered around the relationship between image and sound. Instead of relying on music or traditional sound effects, the entire piece was constructed using only environmental audio recorded on location throughout the inn and its surrounding landscape. The goal was to create a more sensory and immersive experience that encourages viewers to feel the atmosphere of the space rather than simply observe it.

The project was developed over several months in close collaboration with the team at Hotorinite, focusing on careful sound capture, restrained cinematography, and minimal visual storytelling. Every creak of wood, movement of wind, distant echo, and surrounding texture became part of the emotional language of the film. Designed as a slower and more reflective viewing experience rather than conventional social media content, the final piece explores themes of presence, silence, atmosphere, and connection to place.
