Synopsis
Created for Kyōcha, this project included both a 30 second promotional film and a set of campaign photographs documenting the experience of exploring matcha culture in Japan. The story follows founder Hailee visiting tea farms and production facilities in Uji, focusing on the craftsmanship, tradition, and care behind authentic Japanese matcha.
The visual direction aimed to feel immersive, calm, and natural, blending cinematic imagery with documentary style storytelling. Alongside the film, photography deliverables captured the tea farms, production process, matcha products, and environmental details to support the brand’s social media and marketing presence. The final video was also designed to connect narratively with a second campaign piece filmed separately in the United States.
