Synopsis
Created for HIKARU, this music video was designed as an emotionally driven visual piece centered around themes of distance, longing, and internal reflection. Combining constructed studio environments with urban exterior scenes, the project used curtains, blindfolds, environmental textures, and controlled lighting to create a surreal yet intimate atmosphere that visually mirrored the emotional tone of the song.
The visual direction focused on restrained movement, layered compositions, and sensory details rather than narrative performance alone. Colored fabrics, isolated spaces, ambient sound elements, and carefully timed transitions were used to create a dreamlike feeling throughout the film. Alongside the controlled studio setups, city sequences added contrast and realism, grounding the emotional themes within contemporary urban environments. The final piece balanced cinematic music video aesthetics with a more experimental and atmospheric approach to visual storytelling.
